Fall Sweepstakes!! We are holding a Fall Sweepstakes on November 30th to celebrate our school's 50th Anniversary! This fall event is in addition to the sweepstakes that is held in May. We will be giving away a top price of $25,000.00 with additional prizes of $15,000.00, $5,000.00, and 10 prizes of $500.00! Tickets are $50.00 and are available by calling Betsy Goudy, Director of Development, at 315-468-0053 ext 4 or e-mail her at email@example.com. She will mail you as many applications as you want, and when you return them with your check, you will then receive your ticket in the mail. You do not need to be present to win. You must be 18 to participate and 21 to attend the event.
Not only will you be eligible to win cash, but you will be helping to sustain our school into the next 50 years. Tuition only covers 70% of the actual cost per student. We depend on our alumni, our parishes, and those who believe in Catholic education to help us help our youth of today. With all they are exposed to in the world via television, internet, social media...they need guidance from their parents and their schools to live a healthy and christian life. We are proud of our students, their morals, and the way they live their lives and contribute to their communities. We are blessed with their presence, and we are proud that they are Gaelic Knights, now and forever!
Girl's Softball Field
The major change that we are all excited about is the addition of the girl's softball field. Since day one the girls have had to practice at Geddes Field, and the older girls had to travel to Liverpool to play their "home" games at Hopkins Park. The new field will finally give the girls their own home site. This will certainly boost morale, as well as saving money by eliminating the travel expenses. To see pictures of the field in progress, please click on the Athletics page above and drop down to "Girls Softball Field".
Our Lady of Guadalupe Visits Bishop Ludden
Ashley Gussman kneels before the Image
A day of prayer was held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 here at school. The traveling Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of four that have been blessed by the Bishop of Mexico City. It began its journey 13 years ago in Mexico City. The purpose of the traveling Image is to visit Catholic schools and parishes around the world for the New Evangelization. The traveling Image has been called MIRACULOUS because miracles have occurred after veneration and prayer. Pope John Paul II had a great devotion to the Image. He was drawn to it during his visit to Guadalupe saying "Her face is filled with kindness and simplicity."
Guests, students, faculty, and staff were invited to venerate before the Image. Dominick Melara, an eighth grader, said he didn't know what to expect. "I felt closer to God than I have ever felt as I knelt before the Image. It was pretty amazing!"
