Welcome to Bishop Ludden’s website. I encourage you to explore it to get a sense of how much we care about not only our students’ academic standing, but their spiritual life as well. Our mission states Bishop Ludden’ approach to character development clearly: We are called to provide a curriculum and school environment which fosters spiritual growth, moral development, academic excellence, critical thinking, and life-long learning.
When I was called to serve as Principal of Bishop Ludden in 2010 I knew that its already excellent academic reputation would enable me to focus on building life skills that are useful to our students well beyond graduation. To that end, we offer many unique ways to facilitate personal growth. For example:
- Our House System gives students a small, consistent group of peers to meet with daily, supervised by a “Housemaster”. They worship together, work on community projects, and encourage one another’s success.
- Campus Ministry Programs are at the heart of our mission to actively engage students in living their faith through prayer, study, retreats, and service.
Academically, our new Science Center engages students in various enrichment programs. Artistically, our Fine Arts wing houses creative spaces for band, chorus, art, and photography. Athletically, our Gaelic Knights take shape in 13 varsity, 8 junior-varsity, and 12 modified teams.
Perhaps the most rewarding part of leading Bishop Ludden is being part of what is truly a family. Frequent comments we hear from parents about why they send their sons and daughters to Bishop Ludden are: it’s like a family...kids watch out for one another...there are no cliques...no one sits on the sidelines...my son feels like he belongs.
So please wander through our website to learn more about Bishop Ludden. Call us anytime to schedule a tour or arrange for your child to “shadow” a day of classes. We’re here to help you develop your children academically and spiritually.
Welcome to Bishop Ludden
Mr. Michael Sandore, Principal
